Lessons . . . . . .

Well I learned a couple of lessons this weekend. 1-I really should stay retired from racing. 2-I can't wait to get back on some suspension and some gears!! I went ahead and raced the Georgia Single Speed State Championships Yesterday and boy was it painful! I decided at the last minute to go and when I got there there were 3 or four expert and semi-pro riders albeit in my age group that decided to race in their age class rather than the open class.... So needless to say I got my ass kicked!!!! I mean I guess 5th after not having raced in a year and a half and basically doing no training at all ain't that bad but damn! So I can now be free to get on a bike with some cush and gears! Here is a picture of my pain for you 2 people who look at this.

The Dirt Church Clemson, SC

Man what a great day of riding! Myself and a group consisting of Mike, Mark, Alex, Brian, Jeff, Christian, Derek, Dave, and Andy headed up to Issaquena for a HOT (90+ and what had to be 110% humidity) day of riding the great trails! I cleaned out and borrowed Moma Bear's suburban and Mike broke out the Wake-N-Bake team trailer for all the bikes and gear, we all met at the shop at 7:00am to pile in and load up! We were on the trails by 10:00 and it was already hot as shit! We all were soaked with sweat in the first 5 minutes! We proceeded to rock out the Doyle Bottom loop first which took about 2 hours or so! I drank my 100oz camelbak dry in that short loop! We then stopped at the truck for beer and snacks to refuel for a jaunt around the lake loop (maybe my favorite trail anywhere!)!! Once we rolled that everyone was gassed and very hot so we loaded up had a couple of beers then headed to Moe's for post ride burritos. Well we were all sporting a core temp of about 100000 degrees and their damn AC was busted!! LOL!!! Anyway the grub was actually very good (or maybe we were just hungry?)! Then the A-town crew headed home everyone smack talking all the way! Love it! Oh and I rode my new SS, boy what a workout that was!!! I hung tough with everyone for the most part though! Ride to drink, drink to ride! Peace

Anyway I don't got no pictures yet but I'll be sure to post'm up as soon as I get'm.. Have a great night. Elvis has left the building

Good friggin gawd

Life really ain't so bad eh??? I have a cold Dale's Pale Ale, a belly full of my Paw In Law's Spagetti, and am feeling not much pain! There are a couple of rumors floating around right now. 1- tlymtb might just be coming out of retirement from racing for one day? GSSSC???? Hide and watch...2-there is a new bike company on the horizon AGA Cycles, Classic Cycles from the Classic City. My head badge is slated to be the Double Barrel Cannon and all steel is REAL. Get ready for the techno babble boy (suspension, gears, technology in general) to totally shft gears and get-r-dunn.

Oh and my baby Savy is a mountainbiker afterall.

Mountain Riding All The Way

Mountain City Madness!!! There was BEER, there were great friends, there was great weather, there was gravel, there was pavement, there was single track, there was double track, there were sandwich's, there were burritos, BEER, Vodka, nougat (damn that shit was good Kes!), there was fresh spring water. Wow what an awesome day riding all around Mountain City, GA with our guides Bobby and Betsy Hartridge! We were out for something like 6 hours, probably an hour and half or so of lollygagging, eating etc... etc... etc... All said it was quite a mixture of riding that made for a really wonderful day! I needed it that's for sure!
